Founded in 1995, our story began with Love...literally! Tim and Harriett Williams catered their own wedding, never imagining that one celebration would spark a 30 year journey in the hospitality business. With their God-given talents and incredible word-of-mouth support, GGEvents quickly grew into a trusted and thriving catering company.
Family has always been at the heart of every celebration. Having grown up in the business, daughters Sarah, and Haleigh proudly carry on the legacy. After years of offsite catering, Tim and Harriett followed another inspired dream of opening Lodge Montagna, a "Full Service" event venue. Designed with attention to details, and a deep understanding of meaningful celebrations.

What began as a family vision has grown into a full-service wedding and event destination. One where every couple is supported with care, expertise, and genuine hospitality. ​From your first tour to the final moments of your event, our family is involved every step of the way. We work closely with you months in advance helping with layout decisions, timelines, and design coordination so your day unfolds seamlessly.

Behind the Name
The name Montagna, meaning “mountain,” reflects the inspiration behind Lodge Montagna and the sense of place we hope every guest feels when they arrive. Mountains represent strength, beauty, and moments that feel grounded yet elevated, much like the celebrations we host here. While our venue offers the elegance of an estate setting, it is rooted in the calm, welcoming atmosphere of North Georgia, where nature and togetherness take center stage. Montagna serves as a reminder that life’s most meaningful moments deserve a setting that feels both timeless and deeply connected.
